未来を変えるランドスケープ・アーキテクトたち
Focus on Japanese
Landscape Architecture

Landscape architecture in Japan is still in the process of shaping its own identity and role, navigating between traditional and modern values of culture, society, and urbanism. This project investigates the tactics and strategies used by Japanese landscape architects to implement innovative design outcomes which positively contribute to environmental, economic, and cultural futures.

By revealing the intricacies and potentials of design processes, alongside the barriers facing the discipline, this project develops a deeper understanding of how Japanese landscape architects act as change agents. With mounting global pessimism towards climate change and social inequities, these films present a positive message, highlighting multiple ways that individual designers can make a difference.
